Dear LHAB
As you well know, this year marks the 50threunion of one of the largest and greatest alumni band organizations on the planet – your Longhorn Alumni Band! With all my heart, I hope you will go out of your way to make it back to Austin for a weekend of celebration on August 30-31, 2013!
Alumni Band weekend is a highlight for all of us each and every year and this year even more than before! We hope for a fantastic turnout from those who graduated only a year ago to those from the earliest days of the organization. Our Halftime performance will be dedicated to the vast amount of support and spirit you – the Alumni Band – have offered over the grand, 50-year history and, of course pay tribute to all who have worked to make the organization bigger and better each year, after year, after year!
I cannot think of a better way to induct the new members of LHB then by having them witness one of the greatest Alumni Bands perform in DKR-Memorial Stadium the very first weekend of the season! What will already be an amazing day for those freshmen will be even better because of your participation!!!
Please pass the word to every LHB Alumnus you know and encourage all your old friends to come join us on the forty-acres this August 30 and 31 for a celebration of a wonderful organization – LHAB!
