Band Day is just 12 days away!! We are looking forward to coming together once again to meet up with old friends and perhaps make new ones along the way. One of the things that helps make Band Day Weekends so fun and successful is the help of our members throughout the weekend so that everything runs smoothly.
We are all volunteers giving back our time in support of the organization that meant so much to us during our college years. We greatly appreciate everyone that has signed up for a volunteer slot so far!
That being said, we are looking for people to urgently fill remaining volunteer positions to help us pull off another great Band Day. The more volunteers we have, the shorter and quicker the lines will be! Click the links for each slot below to go to the SignUpGenius page where you can submit your information.
We are especially in need of help with:
- Instrument & Flag Check-out/Check-in on Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Saturday evening post-game. No physical heavy lifting is required, as we will have current LHB students on hand to help carry instruments to/from the staging area. You will facilitate check-out/check-in using our new, easy-to-use QR code system to help match the LHAB member with the correct equipment.
- BBQ Line Helpers Saturday morning. You will collect BBQ wristband tickets from members and hand out plates. There will be two shifts of workers to ensure everyone has a chance to eat and pick up their vest and game ticket.
We could also use some help in the following areas:
- Section Leaders, especially: Clarinets, Trumpets, Trombones, and Percussion (no LHB SL experience needed!)
- Saturday morning check-in
- Stadium elevator helpers: during March-Down only, simply help guide people to the stadium elevators for those who need them
Please consider taking just 1 or 2 hours out of your weekend to help LHAB out. As previously announced, volunteers this year will receive a commemorative 2025 Band Day Volunteer pin for their efforts.
