The University of Texas Longhorn Alumni Band began in 1964 with 67 members. Now, LHAB consists of over 4,000 members spanning 12 countries. Each year 500+ Longhorn Alumni Band members gather for our annual Band Weekend for the designated Alumni Band home game. LHAB and LHB each perform half-time shows of their own, and then present a combined performance for a total of over 800 performers on the field.
The “Blast from the Past” represents all of the pride and spirit of countless LHB generations and looks forward to their next appearance with the “Showband of the Southwest.”
