Every year, LHAB gathers for a weekend of camaraderie, rehearsal, and the annual Business Meeting. On game day, LHAB and LHB each perform their own halftime shows, then combine for one performance for the DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium crowd.
This year’s Band Day is October 31, 2026 vs the Mississippi State Bulldogs!
Kick-off time is not yet set, but we do know it will be an evening game.
Registration will open soon.
Table of Contents
This is a long page, but it is important that you are familiar with everything here before registering for Band Day weekend.
REGISTRATION DEADLINES
To expedite Saturday morning’s rehearsal, it is imperative that we have a good idea of how many participants we will have on the field in advance of Band Day Weekend. For that reason, online registration closes at 11:59 PM Central Time on Tuesday, 10/20/2026.
Remember that while late registration is allowed up until Friday evening, 10/30/2026, those members registering after the 10/20/2026 deadline will not receive membership perks on Band Day and will not have a marching spot in the show.
For those who participate in late registration and for those who prefer not to march but would like to play during halftime (as indicated during registration), we will have a playing block on the field much like we did last year. Those marching will appreciate the boost of sound from the playing block!!
BAND DAY FEES
We are excited to be able to keep the Band Day fee at $35 for 2026.
To register for Band Day, all members must be current with their annual LHAB membership dues. If you graduated or left LHB in 2026, your LHAB membership dues and Band Day registration are FREE. For LHAB members who renewed their membership at the Legacy, Grandioso, or Big Bertha levels, your Band Day registration is also waived. While Band Day registration fees are waived for these groups, you must still register for Band Day and, if you choose, purchase meal & guest football tickets or other LHAB Band Day items during your online registration so we can properly plan for those events.
If members are not current with their dues, they will be directed to the Membership site before being able to access the Band Day Registration site.
Below is a list of available LHAB membership levels and their benefits.

Spouse in LHAB?
If you and your spouse are both in LHAB, you will both need to choose your membership level and renew individually unless one spouse selects the Calypso level or higher. If a spouse renews at the Calypso level or higher, the renewal for the linked spouse will be applied and updated shortly after your membership renewal is complete.
Each spouse will need to register independently for Band Day. When either spouse registers for Band Day, they will see info about the other spouse and whether they have renewed and/or registered yet with their purchases.
REFUND POLICY
The LHAB Membership dues billing cycle runs with our fiscal year which is July 1st to June 30th. Any cancellations or membership level changes made after the start of the current membership billing cycle (on or after July 1st that year) will be applied to the upcoming year membership dues billing cycle.
As an example, a membership level change requested on October 1, 2026 (after July 1st), would apply to the 2027 membership billing cycle, rather than being retroactively applied to the 2026 membership billing cycle.
Refunds and cancellations for extenuating circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If you would like to request a refund or believe there is an error in what you were charged, please contact us.
CODE OF ETHICS AND CONDUCT
Members are reminded that we participate in game day activities at the pleasure and discretion of LHB Leadership and UT Athletics. We attend these functions as guests and should conduct ourselves accordingly. The Code of Ethics portion of the LHAB Handbook has been amended to include specific language to address these expectations. Members will be required to acknowledge as well as agree to be accountable for the content when registering for Band Day. Let’s all have a great, fun-filled, stress-free reunion!!

LHAB/LHB INSTRUMENT/FLAG RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following is your acceptance of this agreement upon pickup of your rented instrument: As a Renter of any Longhorn Alumni Band or UT Longhorn Band (LHAB/LHB) owned instrument, Big Flag, and/or Silk, I accept responsibility and liability for the loss or damage of the rented instrument and/or flag beyond ordinary wear and tear. In the event of loss, theft, or damage beyond repair of the instrument and/or flag while in my possession, I agree to reimburse LHAB/LHB for any repairs or replacement to the instrument and/or flag assigned to me as a Renter. I agree to return the LHAB/LHB instrument and/or flag as required by the due date given at the time of check-out by an LHAB representative.
LHAB will make the appropriate repairs and adjustments to keep the instrument and/or flag in proper playing condition. This does not include the restoration of finish, willful damage, careless handling, cleanings or replacement of expendable accessories.
GUEST SEATING & TICKETS
LHAB and their guests are sitting in the north end zone upper deck. UT Athletics has allotted seating for LHAB in Sections 120/121 and 122/123 for guests. Guest football tickets can be purchased during the registration process for $150 per ticket, the direct cost by UT Athletics, on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be aware of the guest ticket policy (see below) and please note: guest football tickets are for immediate family members only.
Note: LHAB members can only purchase guest football tickets through online Band Day registration. You may only purchase guest football tickets until October 15th. These tickets will be in your packet of registration materials you will pick up during Check-in on either Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
LHAB’s guests will be allowed to follow our formation and enter the stadium behind us. Each family needs to plan accordingly.
If you are hesitant to register for Band Day due to LHAB being seated in the upper deck, the elevator in the north end zone will be available to access the upper deck.
To preserve the integrity of LHAB’s performance and experience on Band Day, all LHAB members must sit with their designated instrument sections in the stadium during pre-game, the 1st quarter, and the 2nd quarter. This ensures every member has a place within their section and enables cohesive performance when called upon. Due to strict timing enforced by television networks and UT Athletics, it is vital that all members respond with urgency when LHB requests stand tunes, as delays can impact the broader gameday experience.
While we recognize and value the importance of spending Band Day with family and friends, guests are not permitted in the LHAB section during pre-game through the 2nd quarter. Members who prefer to sit with their guests during that time may do so in the designated guest seating area. After halftime, LHAB members may invite guests to sit within the LHAB section if space permits and provided it does not interfere with other members returning to their sections.
Guest tickets purchased during registration will be capped at 10 per registrant. If guest tickets remain available near the online registration deadline, sales may reopen on a first-come, first-served basis.
FAMILY, CHILD, AND GUEST POLICY
Please understand as you prepare to bring your family and guests to Alumni Band Day that there are some policies that LHAB cannot change due to liability issues and UT Athletics policy. While we strive to maintain a great relationship with UT Athletics and The University, we understand that these policies can be challenging for parents with small children.
- Children are not allowed on the field during LHAB rehearsals or a performance.
- Children or other family members are not allowed in the formation while marching to the stadium.
Thank you so much for understanding and adhering to these policies.
LHAB UNIFORM
Due to a late-season night game, we will return to the full LHAB half-time uniform for 2026.
The full uniform for LHAB includes the following:
- Solid black socks, short crew length or longer.
- Mostly black shoes (tennis shoes are fine as long as they are mostly black – white soles and/or smaller white logos are acceptable).
- Solid black pants (slacks preferred).
- White collared shirt (either long-sleeved or short-sleeved, depending on the weather and your comfort).
- Optional white or burnt orange cap.
We will provide all LHAB members with a burnt orange vest with the official LHAB logo. You must be in full uniform (black shoes/black socks/black pants and white collared shirt) to check out a vest and to receive a ticket (required for entrance to the stadium).
Please return the burnt orange vest to the Choir Room after the game. In the event you leave early, please have a friend return your vest.
Below are examples of acceptable and unacceptable pieces of clothing to wear as the LHAB Uniform.

FOOD & DRINKS POLICY
Rehearsal
LHAB will not be providing drinks or food during the Saturday rehearsal. If you want a drink, please bring your own. LHAB will be providing a few drinks and a fruit item after halftime. If additional drinks or food is desired, bring your credit card as the stadium is cashless!
In DKR
You are permitted to bring in up to 1 liter of water in a sealed, unopened container. There are 16 water stations in the stadium where you can refill your container for free. Please take advantage of this opportunity to stay well hydrated and prepared for the heat.
Alcohol Policy
Be mindful of the fact that you’ll be wearing the LHAB uniform and if you drink, be responsible and respectful. It is appreciated if consumption could wait until after the LHAB halftime performance.
RESTROOM FACILITIES
The Music Building restrooms and classrooms are available. If you need a restroom on Saturday, you may use the Music Building, the Law School, or an available Porta-Potty.
CLEAR BAG POLICY
Please remember that the stadium has a “Clear Bag Policy” that regulates the size and type of bag that may be carried in. This includes those of us marching in LHAB.
Bags that are permitted include:
- Bags that are clear plastic and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags
- Small clutch bags or purses do not have to be clear but cannot exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″
Bags not permitted include:
- Backpacks, printed pattern plastic bags, fanny packs, purses, reusable grocery totes, mesh or straw bags, duffle bags, large totes, camera or binocular cases.
- Diaper bags are not allowed. Items typically carried in a diaper bag must be put into a clear plastic bag for venue entry.
Additionally, everyday items not permitted are video cameras, professional detachable lens cameras, electronic equipment cases, strollers, tripods, umbrellas, or artificial noisemakers.
