Band Day Weekend is nearly here!
We will have 900 members combined on the field with LHB at halftime, covering 8 decades of marching band excellence, all while celebrating the man who made Longhorn Band the powerhouse that it is: Vincent R. DiNino.
We can’t wait to welcome y’all back to the Forty Acres tomorrow as we kick off the weekend with the unveiling of the DiNino statue and our 2nd Annual Friday Night Tailgate!!
- The full weekend schedule can be found here (mobile-friendly) – please note the later start time on Saturday, as announced earlier this week.
- While we may consider The Bubble and Music Building as second homes, please keep in mind that we are guests of the University throughout the weekend. Please pick up after yourself and respect the spaces, faculty, staff, and students that you encounter this weekend.
- NEW: We have been advised by Texas Athletics that pins or buttons (such as last year’s LHB125 pins and Back the Band buttons) must not be worn on the field during halftime. In previous years, they have found pins that have fallen off during halftime, which creates a safety hazard for players, officials, etc. You may wear pins in the stands but they must be removed from your clothing for halftime.
- Friday night check-in runs from 5pm – 7pm and 8:30pm – 9:00pm at the Music Building. We strongly encourage all members to check-in Friday night if possible, even if you can’t stay for the FNT. This will help make Saturday morning smoother for us all!
- On Saturday, shuttles will run between LAZ Lot 26 and campus. Pre-rehearsal shuttles will run 5:45am-6:45am (drop-off at The Bubble); post-game shuttles will run 6:30pm-9:00pm (pick-up at Dean Keeton & Robert Dedman).
- Start hydrating now for what will be a hot afternoon on Saturday! Water will be provided after march-down and halftime. If you want water during Saturday morning rehearsal, please bring your own. Light breakfast snacks and electrolyte powder sticks will be available following Saturday morning rehearsal.
- Review your section’s starting yard line(s) for halftime here. This is where you will meet your Section Leaders at the beginning of Saturday morning rehearsal. You can also view an animation of our halftime show here.
- Review the new summer uniform requirements on our Band Day Info page. You must be in full uniform to check out your vest and receive your physical game ticket.
- Share moments from the weekend on social media and make sure to tag us! Use #LHAB2025; we are @utlhab on Instagram, @lhab on X, and @The University of Texas Longhorn Alumni Band on Facebook.
- Fire it up and BTHOOUTEP!! 🤘🏈
