Band Day 2025 Recap

Dear LHAB Members,

I want to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thank you for the wonderful Band Day on September 13th. We honored the great Vincent R. DiNino, beginning with the statue unveiling on Friday afternoon and concluding with an outstanding halftime performance where over 900 Longhorn Band members, both past and present, combined on the field. We continued with events that have been added over the past year, such as the Friday Night Tailgate and the Virtual Business Meeting. This year, we offered the option of a summer uniform to help with the heat of an early September game. We hope we delivered a memorable experience for LHB and LHAB, linking our past, present, and future.

A special thank you to all of our officers and many volunteers, whose dedication and love for this organization helped make the weekend run smoothly. Their hard work enables everyone to enjoy the weekend and I am thankful for their commitment. Our new volunteer recognition pin was just a small way that we could say thank you.

Our outgoing and newly elected officers will be meeting soon to discuss and debrief over Band Day 2025. Your input will be extremely valuable. Please take the time to complete the 2025 Band Day Survey as this information is very valuable. We will be discussing this feedback and identifying ways within our control to improve next year’s Band Day weekend.

Thank you again to everyone who participated, supported and helped make this year so memorable. Here is to continuing our traditions and support of the Longhorn Band.
