This is a quiet time of year for LHAB, but read on for a few updates and announcements, and keep your eyes peeled for information on Band Day 2026 coming soon. A huge thank you to everyone in Austin who came out to our HEB grand re-opening playing event last weekend at the Hancock location near campus. HEB has been a generous supporter of LHAB and we were honored to join up with members of the Longhorn Band to celebrate at a location where so many of us shopped during our time at UT! Photos: Matthew Afflerbaugh Call for volunteers: The Austin Symphony Orchestra reached out to LHAB seeking volunteer assistance at ASO’s Young People’s Concerts for area 4th and 5th grade students. All volunteers will receive a complimentary ticket voucher to an upcoming ASO Masterworks performance. Dates are Feb 23, 24, and 25 from 8:30 a.m.—2:30 p.m. Volunteers will escort students back and forth from their buses to the Long Center entrance. Click here for more information and the sign-up. The LHAB officer board welcomes Teresa Hastings, Big Flag ‘77-’82, as our appointed 2nd assistant technology officer.
