We have listened to your feedback and are excited to begin unveiling our plans for Band Day Weekend! You’ll notice some big changes for Friday night to give everyone more time to socialize ahead of a busy Game Day. Highlights include:
- Moving the Annual Business Meeting from Friday night to a virtual meeting held on Sunday, September 15th.
- Hosting a tailgate at the music building on Friday night, 9/20 – join us to check in for Band Day, pick up your instrument rentals, and then stay and hang out with your LHB/LHAB family!
- A special halftime, continuing LHAB’s legacy of impressive performances and celebrating LHB’s 125th season together in a combined set with LHB.
Plenty of more information is to come and registration will open next week. Monitor your inbox and our social media feeds for an announcement once registration is open. We are looking forward to coming together as a family and celebrating a GREAT weekend! |

| We all know how difficult it can be to find a hotel reservation in the heart of downtown Austin these days. This year, we have partnered with Fairmont Austin for special room rates during Band Day Weekend! The Fairmont is conveniently located at Red River St. and Cesar Chavez St. downtown, less than 2 miles from DKR-TMS.

Band Day Volunteers Needed
|
|
| Band Day Weekend would not be possible without our wonderful volunteers, and that includes you, your family, and your friends! We expect over 600 members this year, and we are asking you to get involved in any way possible.
Like last year, we’ve implemented SignUp Genius to make it easy for you to review the areas and shifts in which you can help. Are family and friends eager to get involved with LHAB? We’d love their help so feel free to sign them up and put them to work! 😉 Here are 6 areas for which we need Volunteers, with Team Leads for your reference: |

| LHAB knows how fortunate we are to have UT Development focus on securing LHB’s future through the Back the Band campaign. The talent of that team was recognized with a Center for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Circle of Excellence Bronze Award.
Congratulations to all the UT Development team members and thank you for your outstanding work to support LHB and make the Back the Band campaign a success! If you read about the award at the link above, the campaign says their secret sauce is “the collaboration with passionate and proud Longhorn Alumni Band members.”
