| Dear LHAB Members,
I wanted to take a moment to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you, on this 125th year of the Longhorn Band, for making this year’s Band Day the best yet! With exciting new additions like the Friday Night Tailgate, Virtual Business Meeting, and partnering with the Fairmont Austin, we hope we delivered a memorable experience that reminded us all of the unique bond we share through LHB and LHAB.
A special thanks goes out to our officers and many volunteers, whose tireless dedication and love for this organization were at the heart of every detail. Their hard work made this event one to remember, and I’m truly grateful for their commitment.
Our outgoing and newly elected officers have already come together to debrief on Band Day 2024. We’ve discussed feedback and identified some promising action items to enhance future Band Day events. Your continued support and participation make all the difference, and with your feedback from this year’s survey, we can continue our efforts to make the next Band Day weekend even better.
Thank you again to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make this year so special. Here’s to continuing our traditions and making new memories together!

| All LHAB members are invited to attend the annual LHAB Scholarship Presentation on Tuesday, October 29th, from 6:30pm – 8pm in Bates Recital Hall. Please join us as we celebrate the incredible accomplishments of the current LHB students and announce this year’s scholarship recipients.
These scholarships, funded through donations by LHAB members and friends and family of LHB, make such a difference in the students’ lives and allow them to focus on their studies, LHB commitments, and futures.
A reception in the Band Hall will follow the presentation. Please RSVP by Tuesday, October 22nd at the link below so that we can ensure enough refreshments are available for all our guests. Hook ‘em! |

| As announced by UT Development at the Friday Night Tailgate, a new statue of Vincent R. DiNino will be unveiled on campus to commemorate LHB’s 125th season and have a permanent place of honor for Mr. D!
The statue will be unveiled on April 4, 2025 as part of a revamp of the site of the current Gabriel statue commemorating LHB’s 100th season at the corner of DeLoss Dodds Way & San Jacinto Blvd. |
